Acne is a threat. However, that's not something that can't be addressed. There are many acne skin care products around. We can classify acne skin care products into 3 broad categories:

* Prevention or general acne skin care Products
* Over-the-counter, acne special skin care Products
* On-Prescription acne skin care products.

Common Acne skin care products are the ones used as a measure of acne prevention. These include cleaners, make-up remover and similar products that help prevent acne. In a real sense, acne skin care products are just those that should remain a part of your daily routine. However, some of these are more oriented to act like acne skin care products. This acne skin care product acts against the cause of acne mis. Limiting the production of sebum/oil and preventing clogging of skin pores. Basically, this acne skin care product prevents oils from getting stuck in the pores and therefore inhibits the growth of the bacteria that causes acne. Common Acne skin care products also include skin exfoliation products such as the peel. It works towards lifting dead skin cells, thereby reducing the likelihood of pore-blockage and bacterial development.

Then there are special acne skin care products that are available over-the-counter i.e. without the need for a prescription. These include products such as Vanishing creams that extract additional oils from the skin. The majority of acne skin care products are based on benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, both of which are bacterial enemies (and hence acne). You should start with a product that has a lower concentration of benzoyl peroxide (e.g. 5%) and see how your skin responds to it.  Alpha-hydroxy-acid-based moisturizers are also popular as acne skin care products. You may have to try a few, before you zero-in on acne skin care products that are effective for you. If nothing seems to work, you should contact a dermatologist.

On-Prescription Acne skin care products are the ones prescribed by the dermatologist. It can include ointments that can be applied to the affected area or oral antibiotics or just any topical treatment. Dermatologists may also suggest small surgical procedures to remove the contents of the pustules.  However, never trying to squeeze or do this yourself, it can cause permanent damage to your skin.  Your doctor may also prescribe hormone-based treatments (since hormonal changes are also known to cause acne). Acne like skin care products are known to be very effective in some cases.
So, with all acne skin care products, tackling acne is not that difficult.
